Daniel Yujian Li-Game/Media/Interaction Designer & Developer

Located in Singapore, I am a design student with a wealth of experience in game design and production. My academic background in digital media, combined with practical work experience in game companies, has given me a deep understanding of the creative and technical aspects of game development. I have also participated in Game Jam multiple times and have certain skills in design, art, programming, project management, and other aspects. I am passionate about creating innovative interactive experiences that not only attract players, but also break through the boundaries of digital storytelling and gameplay mechanics. I am dedicated to innovation and committed to continuously improving my skills. I aspire to create impactful projects in the future and make breakthroughs in interactive technology.

Two-Face

Two-Face is an adventure game that combines local two player control and interactive narrative. Players take on the roles of two presidential candidates who fall into a different world, controlling the protagonist Aka through a combination of cooperation and competition, embarking on a journey to collect medals and save the world.

An innovative AR tool that helps you track your daily meals by recognizing food items in real time, instantly displaying their nutritional information, such as calories, macronutrients, and portion sizes. This tool not only simplifies meal logging but also empowers users to make healthier choices by providing actionable insights directly through their camera, making nutrition tracking seamless and engaging.

Saga

This is a preliminary display of a 3D action game, which includes narrative and level design. In the game, I created a combo system for characters, AI logic for monsters, and inheritance relationships. In terms of art, I created the Outline Cartoon shader to determine the art style of the game. In addition, I also created related VFX for scene display.

Prosody

This project is in collaboration with Tencent, and aims to use the game medium as an experiment to express the poetic meaning of Chinese classical poetry. We believe that music is a good medium to express this abstract emotion and experience in the game.Through the combination of audio games and narrative, we create a wonderful interactive experience.

Spark Spectrum

This is a game jam project, and as the person in charge of the entire project, I have completed the preliminary planning work and almost all the program code implementation. My teammates had almost no experience in game development, so I still had to spend time guiding them. This platform jumping game inspired by the game Hue was successfully completed and built within 48 hours.

This VR video is designed to help people alleviate anxiety through mindfulness methods. We create complete video content by editing maps in UE, exporting panoramic images, synthesizing videos, and processing speech and sound.

"Archi Masters" is a very interesting simulation game where you will play the role of an ancient Chinese architect, completing corresponding tests to determine who is the best architect.
During this period, you will experience the complete construction process of ancient Chinese official architecture, and compete with your opponents about the construction speed, and determine the final winner!

Fish-Dang Bot: RollingLaud

This is a game jam demo created within 72 hours In this project, I served as the game planner, designing the basic gameplay and storyline of the game, and building the levels within the game. I also used artificial intelligence to generate and post process audio to create the voice of the protagonist Fein, as well as the background music for the game.

Under The Sunshine

I set up a camera in my dorm room to capture sunlight changes every 15 minutes. The artwork contrasts indoor and outdoor settings, highlighting nature's allure with vibrant colors. I analyzed the 13th image's colors and recreated it through painting.

JENSON FONT BOOK

The content specifically showcases the historical development and modern application of the Jenson font. The layout should ideally reflect the characteristics of this typeface: a combination of classic and modern elements. The size should be minimized to fit easily into pockets after folding, allowing for convenient distribution of the publication.

JOKER Poster

This poster design combines graphics to create the Joker's smile using colors representing people's identities. It reflects the film's portrayal of societal pathology through the Joker's character. The design emphasizes simplicity and uses distance to convey its concept effectively.

Phoenix

The artwork features three projection walls and a shadow wall, immersing the audience in a hellish experience that symbolizes spiritual refinement through fire. Inspired by Buddhist reincarnation and the phoenix myth, it incorporates sounds like Buddhist chants and Christian choirs.

Evolution!

This artwork aims to pay tribute to the moiré pattern and explores its artistic possibilities in the new era. We plan to combine fashion design, performance art, and visual design by having models (actors) wear clothing with a moiré skirt or cloak, walking on a stage that can display moiré patterns. As the person moves, the moiré patterns behind them will animate and follow their movements.

Emperor

The artwork focuses primarily on the sense of order and symbolism of Xiaozhuan on the engravings on Mount Yi The construction Xiaozhuan, characterized by symmetric aesthetics, even strokes, and natural rounded corners, naturally reminds me of the pipes widely used in modern society after the industrial revolution. The inherent essence of this calligraphic style shares a common spirit with the orderly nature of metal and machinery.

The concept combines the concepts of spiders and machinery, utilizing AI technology to generate visuals. Based on these visuals, modeling and animation are created. The creative concept revolves around electronic pets for humans in a future society.

This video is a tribute to arcade games and the people who love them. After conducting research, I discovered that arcade games hold a special place in the memories of many individuals. What they cherish is not just the games themselves, but also the unique atmosphere of the arcade halls and the camaraderie of playing together with friends.

Escape The Mirror

This game is an experimental project I created while studying game development. Originally, the task was to recreate a classic brick-breaking game, but I attempted to incorporate it with my original field of study, resulting in a more stylized background. In this game, the gravity in the upper half of the game interface is completely reversed. Players need to control the paddles on both sides to strike the ball and eliminate all the bricks to escape the mirrored space. The outcome of the game, whether success or failure, will lead to certain differences in the settlement interface.

Long Ge

The IP image design of Long Ge is a vivid and lively character with a charming appearance. She has a pair of big and bright eyes, sparkling with curiosity and vitality. Her hair is soft and plump, and she often wears a large earphone, constantly playing music. She likes to wear various strange shaped clothing, showcasing her free and unrestrained personality. Regardless of the occasion, she always displays a unique charm that attracts people's attention.

Oneiric Odyssey

In this VR game, player needs to swing their arm to jump, and use the handles to move around the scene, rotate the perspective, and flash forward. In each level, players need to use these abilities to obtain props and reach the key items. Although I have completed the code and map design for the basic movements of the characters, the project was terminated due to time constraints.

Responsible for the writing of the new system plan of the game under development, and the interactive update of the online system.

Responsible for the design and production of dungeon mechanics (Monster AI, Skill, Level) for content updates in the MMO game Moonlight Blade.
